“Over the years, I’ve worked with a number of real estate agents for both residential and commercial properties. Dan Johnson is by far the best agent with whom I have ever worked. First, he is an extremely hard worker. Maybe I just had bad luck in the past, but my previous agents tended to be, to put in bluntly, lazy. After I would start working with them, they would often become slow or inconsistent in returning my phone calls and emails. Worse yet, they would always defer my complex questions to others (“Well, you’ll need to consult your attorney about that question”). Dan is the opposite. He is always very prompt in returning my calls and emails. If I don’t call him, he’ll keep me informed on a regular basis of developments with calls, texts, and emails. He has the perfect balance of keeping me informed without being intrusive. For my difficult questions, I found him to extremely knowledgeable about real estate issues in general. He has the perfect balance of being an honest person with a great sense of humor, and yet when it comes time to negotiate with the seller’s agent, he can be firm, decisive, and extremely effective. Because he is so knowledgeable about the real estate market in the Santa Barbara area in general, and on Hollister Ranch in particular (where we purchased our property), he was able to negotiate a fair price with the seller’s agent in a very effective manner. What I like best about Dan is that he really became personally invested in my unique situation and needs. He showed incredible empathy to a hardship that had occurred to my family (and which was motivating us to buy the property that we purchased), and he fought hard to find the right property for us that fit our needs, even though it wasn’t the most expensive property that would have earned him the highest fees. I’ve come to view Dan as a really good friend with whom I can always rely, and I look forward to working with him on future real estate projects.”
